The main applications of zinc‑melted material obtained by treating waste cemented carbide via the zinc‑melting process are as follows:

1. After ball milling, screening, blending, and carbon‑cobalt composition adjustment, it can be directly compacted and sintered to produce cemented carbide products.
2. It can undergo further deep dezincing, impurity removal, ball‑milling and crushing to be processed into recycled tungsten carbide powder and tungsten‑cobalt composite powder.
3. It is fed into the hydrometallurgical process including calcination and acid leaching to prepare APT (Ammonium Paratungstate), tungsten oxide and cobalt salts. These products re‑enter the primary tungsten smelting system to produce high‑purity tungsten carbide powder for high‑grade cemented carbide and coating powder applications.
