The sintering-hot isostatic pressing process involves placing a preform that has undergone molding or cold isostatic pressing into the high-pressure vessel of a hot isostatic press, where dewaxing, sintering, and hot isostatic pressing are performed separately to bring the relative density of the workpiece close to 100%. This is an advanced process following conventional hot isostatic pressing technology.
Dewaxing (or using other forming agents) and sintering can be carried out under vacuum or in a process-defined gas environment (such as hydrogen, nitrogen-hydrogen mixtures), or under methane protection. According to the traditional concept of sintering, both liquid-phase and solid-phase sintering promote a reduction in internal porosity of the sintered preform, resulting in shrinkage and densification. During this process, sintering temperature and time are parameters that must be precisely controlled. Hot isostatic pressing further increases the density of the sintered preform to approach the theoretical density value.
The briquettes undergo sintering and hot isostatic pressing within the same furnace body (pressure air chamber). High pressure is applied directly to the briquettes during the later stages of sintering, which avoids the additional operations of cooling and heating, prevents potential damage to the briquettes during movement, and maintains stable temperatures during sintering and hot isostatic pressing.
In hot isostatic pressing, inert gases such as helium and argon are often used as the pressure medium. Because argon has a lower thermal conductivity than helium (argon's thermal conductivity is 0.158 kW/m·K; helium's is 1.38 kW/m·K), using argon as the pressure medium allows the furnace temperature in the working area to quickly reach the required temperature and maintain a uniform temperature distribution. Furthermore, argon is less expensive than helium.

Customer site installation and commissioning
The Redeer after-sales engineer will lead the team to complete commissioning, product trial burning and other work within 20 working days. The customer needs to make appropriate preparations and provide the necessary tools, such as hoisting and lifting equipment. And provide installation personnel support (it is recommended to have 1 mechanical personnel and 1 electrical personnel).
Final acceptance
After installation and commissioning, the equipment can be finally accepted in accordance with the requirements of the technical contract.
