   Zhuzhou Ruideer Intelligent Thermal Equipment Co., Ltd. has newly launched a Horizontal Zinc Melting Furnace designed for the recovery of cemented carbide using the zinc melting process. It is a dual‑chamber horizontal vacuum furnace.


   The control system combines semi‑automatic and manual operation modes, offering both integrated control and operational flexibility. The entire unit features a modular design for easy upgrades. Equipped with an integrated rapid cooling device, the cooling time has been significantly reduced.


    The furnace consists of two chambers: the front chamber serves as the heating zone, where a graphite boat containing the alloy and zinc is placed. After the zinc melts, it immerses the scrap cemented carbide for thermal modification. The rear chamber serves as the cooling zone, where a zinc recovery crucible is placed. The graphite crucibles in the heating and cooling chambers are interconnected by a graphite conduit. The molten zinc vaporizes in the heating chamber, is transported through the graphite conduit to the cooling chamber, and condenses there, enabling zinc recovery and reuse.


   Zinc is used in the zinc melting process to dismantle scrap cemented carbide by forming a low‑melting‑point alloy with cobalt, thereby breaking down the alloy structure. After zinc evaporation, WC‑Co powder is recovered for regeneration.
